Every wedding is different and it’s my goal to capture the intimate moments, genuine emotions and unique details of your day. I take a documentary approach, blending into the background and posing very little as I find this leads to the most natural and relaxed photographs. Even during your couple portraits you don’t have to worry about any awkward posing. We’ll have a short, laid-back wander outside where I’ll offer a few gentle prompts and photograph you enjoying some alone time together.

I want nothing more than to create a set of images which capture the essence of your wedding, allowing you to look back on the story of your day and relive all the big and small moments which made it special.

I photograph a limited number of weddings each year to ensure that my clients receive the best service possible.

THE TIMELINE

Get in touch I’d love to hear all about your plans for your day! I recommend reaching out as soon as you have your venue confirmed as I can often be booked up to two years in advance. To secure your date I ask for a 25% booking fee with the remaining payment due one month before your wedding date.
In the months leading up to your wedding, you will have lots to do planning and organising all the details of your day. If you need any help or suggestions from a photographic perspective I’m only an email or phone call away and always happy to offer suggestions and advice.
Around 4-6 weeks before your wedding date I will email you a questionnaire to find out all the details of your day including timings, locations and any photo requests. I like to know all the important information beforehand so you can spend your wedding day concentrating on having an amazing day with your family and friends.
Yay! Your wedding day has finally arrived! I’ll be there to capture all the special moments throughout your day in my natural, candid style.
Around 6 weeks after your wedding I will send you a link to a password-protected, online gallery with all your final images edited in my light and airy style. You will receive a download link so you can save them in high-resolution to your computer. There’s also an in-built store if you or your family members would like to purchase any prints or canvases.

All full-day wedding collections include a minimum of 600 photographs which are edited by myself in my unique style and delivered via USB. You will also receive an online gallery of high-resolution images which can be downloaded and shared with family and friends. A second photographer, engagement shoots, additional hours and bespoke albums are also included in some of my collections or available a la carte. As soon as possible! The sooner you reserve your date, the more likely it will still be available. Sometimes I can become booked up over a year in advance.
Yes certainly! There are no limitations as to where I'll travel to capture your wedding whether it's within the UK or further afield.
Travel expenses are included within a 2.5 hour drive from Edinburgh but will be charged for any distances outside this range. Please also note that if your wedding begins or finishes very early or late, reasonable overnight accommodation will be added to the cost.
Definitely, it's something I would recommend as it allows me to get to know you as a couple and to discuss your special plans. I'll also consult with you about my photographic intentions and I will find out what your expectations are. Don't worry if you don't live nearby, we can chat via email, over the phone or even video chat.
My full day collection includes coverage from 2 hours of bridal prep and continues to the first few dances.

I definitely recommend hiring a second photographer for weddings with more than 80 guests or with tight timelines. It allows both of your preparations to be photographed and offers another perspective of the day. While I'm concentrating on capturing your group and couple photographs, a second shooter can concentrate on your guests, giving you lots more lovely candids of your friends and family enjoying their day.
Unfortunately, we can't always control mother nature (especially in Scotland) but I'm adaptable to any situation. Most venues will have an indoor location as a backup and I will have a small supply of umbrellas to hand. A backup pair of wellies is never a terrible idea either.
After your wedding I will expertly retouch the images from your day. Your beautiful images will be ready to view in around 6 weeks.
Of course! After I have edited your wedding photographs I will present them to you via a password protected online gallery. This can be passed on to as many people as you please and will enable them to purchase images through the online store.
I use professional quality equipment including Canon DSLR and mirrorless cameras, lenses and flashguns.
Yes I have professional indemnity and public liability insurance. If required, I can send you a copy of the certificates.
